We all suffer from a lack of productivity from time-to-time. However, as a blogger, you need to keep your efficiency levels up. After all, your viewers rely on you to produce interesting and engaging content on a regular basis. Plus, you need to work on things behind the scenes to ensure you continue to make money, that your SEO strategy is working, and so on and so forth. So, how do you become a more productive blogger?
Create templates – As a blogger, it is likely that you are going to be doing the same sort of tasks again and again. This is why it is a good idea to create templates. For example, you can create email response templates, which help you to reply to some of the most common questions you receive. Of course, you can tweak these templates to suit you, but it’s a lot quicker and easier than writing everything from scratch.
Consider outsourcing – Do you feel like you have too many tasks and you can’t manage them all yourself? It sounds like you have reached the point whereby it is time to consider outsourcing. No matter whether it is accounting or IT solutions for businesses, there are many different tasks that bloggers can outsource. It is all about determining what is going to be of the greatest benefit to your blogging business. What tasks are dragging you down? Where could you save some money?
Work at peak times – Most people find that they have more motivation at certain times of the day. For instance, some people work more effectively early in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up. If this applies to you, wake up early and get things done. Alternatively, you may get more done in the evening. It is important to schedule your highest priority tasks during those times of the day that you feel more productive.
Keep your workspace clean – If your workspace is cluttered and messy, you are going to find it incredibly difficult to work as productively as you need to. This is why you need to get rid of all of the scrap bits of paper and empty cups of coffee. You know what they say, clear space, clear mind.
Turn off social media notifications – Finally, if you are like most people, then you probably end up spending a bit too much time on social media. After all, it’s hard not to when you get notifications throughout the day, alerting you to messages from your friends and anything else that’s going on in the world of social networking. Turn your notifications and check your accounts at certain times during the day.
Hopefully, you are now armed with some ideas that can be used to help you become a more productive blogger. Of course, everyone is different, so some suggestions may work for you, and others may not, but make sure to give them a try!
